Rahlgasse

Gymnasium « Rahlgasse », Austria

Activity: School

EMAS: A-000353
NACE: 80.2

The 'Rahlgasse' School, in Vienna, has 550 pupils and 65 teachers. It has been EMAS registered since 2001. Initially it started with an energy-saving project. A year later it did a project designed to sort the school's waste. It then chose EMAS to help maintain the sustainability of those activities on a day-to-day basis. The EMAS project involves pupils, teachers, other staff and parents, and it covers energy-saving and waste reduction, but also reductions in the use of cleaning agents, healthy food, etc.
