Greenfield Way Limited (GfW) is a design and building company which produces ecological housing for the social housing market.
It has over 80 years of Scandinavian experience as a basis for extended research and development work.
The Greenfield Way housing product uses components that have significant potential for future reuse or recycling and the lowest environmental impact in terms of emissions and the use of toxic substances.
The Implementation Team of EMAS was composed of three persons. The ACORN / BS8555 approach was used together with the ecomapping methodology to avoid superfluous documentation. Verbal rather than documented procedures are used. The trainings were ‘On the job’ focused, using a drip feed approach rather than formal sessions.
Greenfield Way Ltd has been EMAS-certified since June 2003.
