Internally, the staff of Camping Wirthshof is actively involved and is encouraged to make proposals.
Externally, local partners (camping 'ministore' managers, local public transport companies, town authorities, local tourist boards, local forest wardens, camping cleaning company) and visitors are actively encouraged to adopt a global environmental approach:
the camping ministore only sells drinks in reusable bottles and offers many local (often organic) food products
the camping staff informs visitors about
possibilities to buy local and organic food products
possibilities to travel around by public transport
local places of interest (well-marked walking tracks in the whole Lake Constance area, guided hikes in the local nature reserve, walks in the local forests with forest wardens, town guided tours, visits to local farms)
and organises lectures on nature, motivates visitors not to use aluminium cans by not selling them in the camping 'ministore' and through posters against them ('DoseNee am Bodensee').
