Require What does EMAS require?

Four specific points will be addressed under the Emergency Preparedness and Response section of the regulation:

  1. Identify the possibilities for accidents and emergency situations
  2. Prepare emergency response procedures, including preventing and mitigating environmental impacts
  3. Periodically test these procedures
  4. Evaluate and revise as appropriate your situations identification and response procedures

The Emergency preparedness and response section of EMAS applies to the entire organisation; it is not limited to the significant environmental aspects.
