What does EMAS require?

Four specific tasks must be addressed under the Environmental Management System Audit section of the regulation:

1. Audits are to be carried out in order to determine whether or not the EMS
   • conforms to planned arrangements
   • has been properly implemented and maintained
2. You need audit procedures
3. You have to establish an audit programme
4. You have to provide information on the results of audits to management
