Within the eco-management family there are quite a number of management tools and approaches.
These include the international environmental management standard EN ISO 14001, clean technology, regional pilot programs and awards – all of them are stepping stones towards EMAS.
There is no standard method for implementing EMAS, this process depends on the size of the organisation, its products and services and also the nature of its management system.
