What does EMAS require?

Four specific tasks shall be addressed by the environmental management programme:

1. Establishing a planned management programme for achieving objectives and targets
2. Assigning responsibilities for achieving objectives and targets
3. Allocating resources (means)
4. Ensuring modifications if conditions change
