Implementing an environmental management system

Overview

This is where the environmental management system stops being a paper entity and starts to affect the day-to-day operations of the organisation.

The section in ISO 14001 on 'Implementation and Operation' contains seven subclauses to be fulfilled in order to establish your environmental management system.

By reviewing existing methods and procedures carefully and adding to what is already there, you'll minimise the number of additional procedures and methods – and with this, the risk of staff forgetting new procedures.
