Volkswagen expands its work at memorial sites to its associated companies - 14 June, 2012.

Apprentices from subsidiary and associated companies participate in preservation work at Auschwitz’s memorial site

Wolfsburg, June 8, 2012 - Fifteen young employees from Volkswagen Group subsidiaries and associated companies recently helped with work on maintaining the memorial site at Auschwitz. The 18-to-23-year-old Volkswagen apprentices from Autostadt, AutoVision, Sitech Sitztechnik GmbH, Volkswagen Immobilien GmbH, Volkswagen OTLG, Volkswagen Accessories and Wolfsburg AG found out more about the former concentration camp during guided tours and in discussions with camp survivors. Volkswagen is thus expanding the scope of its work at the memorial site as well as its long-standing cooperation with the International Auschwitz Committee to include companies in the Group, and is also fostering the dialog between young people from Poland and Germany at the International Youth Meeting Center in Oświęcim/Auschwitz.
